Let Me Introduce Myself
Hi, I’m Sarah.
Im a person-centred therapist and a fellow imperfect human. At the heart of my practice runs Person Centred Theory. I believe good therapy is built on the relationship between therapist and client, that deep empathy can facilitate your understanding of yourself in a way that supports growth and change.
Over the past fife years I have worked with a broad spectrum of clients, supporting issues such as -but not limited to- childhood trauma, addiction, anxiety and suicidal ideation. I have a particular interest in attachment and how this shapes not only our relationships but our world view. Many of my clients come to me during times of transition, when the way forward is unclear or old ways of being are holding them back. I offer a space to figure it all out.
My training includes a DipHE in Counselling and Psychotherapy and a post qualifying diploma in Counselling Children and Young People. I am trauma level 2 trained and IFS Informed. I am always striving to learn more in support of my clients, so do regular professional development. This currently includes a degree in Psychology and working towards accreditation with the BACP.
Working with me you’ll always be in control of your journey. I aim to create a realxed, supportive enviroment - one that feels genuine and nurturing, where humour is welcome and honesty feels safe. Ultimately my role is to help you connect with the truest version of yourself.
